By Practice Management Excellence (other events)

Tuesday, January 29 2019 5:45 PM 8:00 PM BST

ABOUT ABOUT

During this round-table event, we will explore the strategic importance of training and the justification of a training budget:

  • How you benefit both as the leader and personally;
  • How training supports skills progression for staff at each stage on the career ladder;
  • How the systematic development of staff complements Chambers’ strategic goals.

You will have the opportunity to frankly discuss these key topics and others, with other senior managers of barristers’ chambers, in an informal and relaxed round-table environment.

Facilitating the discussion with be Don Turner of PME Training, the only provider of training and development solutions that operates exclusively for the Bar, and Robin Jackson, chief executive of two leading sets over the last ten years and co-Chair of the LPMA.  As well as their extensive understanding of the chambers’ market, they both bring substantial leadership, management and training expertise gained over several years in a number of other commercial and public sectors.

Arrive: 5.45pm.

Start: 6pm.

The evening will start with a short presentation, followed by group discussion, with refreshments.

End: when the conversation stops being interesting or when you need leave.
